🎨 About Me
Since I was a child, I’ve felt a deep connection with crafts, art, and spirituality. I loved imagining ideas in my mind and bringing them to life with great patience, care, and passion. I’ve always had an eye for detail and often wondered how this talent could become something more—a way of life doing what I love.
💡 How Carimágicas was born
In 2013, while studying Business Administration at university, I created Carimágicas as an academic project. What began as a weekend hobby eventually grew into a strong and beloved company for many families in Peru.
After graduating, I worked in my field as an administrative assistant and executive assistant. I was always highly committed and gave my best in every job I had. But over time, I realized that this high level of dedication deserved to be invested in my own business.
Although I gained valuable experience in the corporate world, I never felt as fulfilled as I did when embracing my creative side. So, I took a leap of faith: I quit my job and followed my passion.
🪄 From hobby to trusted brand
Today, Carimágicas is synonymous with trust and quality. We offer various services for birthday parties: shows, balloon twisting, characters, bubbles, creative workshops, party hairstyles, body painting, and of course, my signature and most recognized service: Face Painting.
Thanks to my attention to detail and warm approach, many families have trusted me year after year—watching their children grow up with my brushstrokes as part of their happiest memories.
During the pandemic and lockdowns, I reinvented myself by creating a home photography studio, offering maternity photo sessions that combined my skills as both a body painter and photographer. This allowed me to build client loyalty and accompany many mothers from pregnancy through each of their children’s birthdays.
👩🏻🎨 My family and my team
None of this would be possible without the love and support of my family—my mother Maricela and my sisters Rosalinda and Beatriz—who are the heart of Carimágicas in Peru. Over time, I’ve also built a wonderful team of talented artists with strong human values. Thanks to them, Carimágicas continues to bring joy to events across Peru with the same love and dedication with which I founded it.
🌎 My International Journey
Throughout my career, I’ve traveled and trained with world-renowned face and body painting masters such as Nick Wolfe, Marcela Bustamante, Miguel Ángel, Olga Murasev, Prima Barton, and many other exceptional artists.
In 2017, I was honored with first place in the Advanced Artistic Makeup category at the WORLD CONART Convention in Brazil.
I also earned my professional certification from the International Face Painting School, founded and led by Olga Murasev.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching workshops in Mexico, Brazil, Australia, and several countries across Europe—sharing my passion and skills with fellow artists around the world.
🇦🇺 My New Adventure: Melbourne
In 2024, I moved to Melbourne, Australia, to study and expand my skills in the field of digital transformation. This vibrant and artistic city—filled with events and creative energy—has been the perfect place to continue sharing my art.
Today, I collaborate with some of Melbourne’s top-tier children’s entertainment companies, known for their quality and reputation. Through these partnerships, I bring color, joy, and a touch of magic to families across this beautiful city.
🐱 Melinda Meow – July 2025: My Personal Brand
Melinda Meow is the most personal and authentic expression of who I am as an artist. Unlike Carimágicas, my corporate brand for Spanish-speaking clients in Peru, Melinda Meow is my artistic name as the human being I am today—on a journey of self-discovery.
I am Melinda, a woman who traveled far from home to study, grow, and transform. With this name, I share the adventure of discovering who I am in a new place—using my talent, creativity, and artist’s soul.
Through my social media as Melinda Meow, I share both my work as a face painting artist in Melbourne, Australia, and my personal journey as a woman evolving through art and change.
Why “Meow”?
Because I adore my cat Poko, who still lives in Peru and is a piece of my creative soul. Adopting her was a dream come true for my inner child, who had always wanted a kitten. She embodies my tender, playful, and sensitive side—and her essence will always stay with me.
